Download this episode When it comes to preserving America’s hunting tradition and the right for individuals to own firearms, nothing is guaranteed. Forces opposing these freedoms are marshaled like never before, and it is, indeed, a culture war, says our guest, Ted Nugent. Sitting silently on the sidelines, he argues, will earn a thank-you note from the antis. After filling up two pages in the October, 2017 issue of MidWest Outdoors magazine, we pick up the conversation as it turns to the health benefits of eating wild game, then sprints from one transition to the next. Never a dull moment when Uncle Ted sharpens the culture-war spear, so if you don’t like controversy, better cover your ears… because it’s fixin’ to get real loud in here, as we hear from Ted Nugent, in his own words. Gary Klein Bass Pro: MWO Interview

Gary Klein | Gary Klein Fisherman | Gary Klein Fishing | Gary Klein Bass Pro | Gary Klein Bass Fishing

Gary in his own words

In the early days of modern bass fishing, Californians authored their own take on what it takes to catch fish. Klein was a 15-year-old kid gassing up boats at Bidwell Canyon Marina on Lake Oroville when his summer was interrupted by a bass tournament. He hung around the event, won by Dee Thomas, the father of flipping. A mentorship ensued that grew into a bond that endures. By asking for help from Thomas and other accomplished fishermen, a self-assured teenager carved his own take on bass fishing, and, ultimately, what it takes to make a career in the sport. Gary Klein fisherman is a name is safely etched in the history of competitive bassin', and the story is worth hearing... in his own words. It's time well spent... Larry Bollig in his own words

He came by his fishing opinions the really old-fashioned way… by fishing and thinking, fishing some more, and experimenting endlessly… doing more of what worked and less of what didn’t… always tinkering with tackle and techniques. He fishes his way, and his way works, and Larry Bollig sat down with Associate Editor Dave Csanda to talk about smallies and largies and pike, oh my! Download this episode On today’s show, we wade waters and words as raw as any you’re likely to come across. The notion that “you’ve never heard so-and-so like this before,” is overhyped, but accurately describes what you’re about to hear. The best interviews get to the heart of what makes somebody tick, and this one dives all the way in, laying bare the travails and triumphs of a young boy who goes on to become the man we have watched as he fished and hunted his way around the world… He tells us things he’s never told anyone in an interview before, including the story of a near-death experience, and twists that could have caused his life to take a different path… along the trail, he tosses out some darn good fishing tips, too, and here we go, with Babe Winkelman, in his own words… It's time well spent...
